Annie Smith began her first term as the Assistant Coach Representative in January 2009. Smith is in her 13th season as an assistant coach, including seventh season at Mississippi State University.

At MSU, Smith handles hitting and defense instruction, as well as coordinating travel and fund-raising efforts for the softball Bulldogs. MSU has qualified for postseason play in five of her six seasons at the school.
