Sean Cotter is beginning his 10th season as head coach at Plattsburgh State. A two-time NFCA Northwest Region Coach of the Year, Cotter owns a 268-165-1 overall record.
In his coaching career, Cotter has propeled Plattsburgh onto the national scene. In 2008, the Cardinals finished 30-13, notching a third straight 30-win season. At one time, the Cardinals were ranked third in the Division III national poll – the highest in school history.
In 2007, Cotter directed Plattsburgh to a 37-14 season that included the program’s first-ever trip to the NCAA national championship and regional championship in only its second NCAA tournament appearance. He and his staff were named the NFCA Northeast Region CSOY for the second straight year.
Cotter is a 1997 graduate of the University of Connecitcut.
