Coaches College curriculum, staff training and instruction, Awards and Hall of Fame Committee

Sharon Drysdale was announced in March 2001 as the association’s first-ever director of the National Fastpitch Coaches College and officially began her duties in September 2001. Drysdale’s position with the NFCA includes the development of training material and the selection and training of staff for the program. She is also lead instructor for most courses.
Drysdale spent 23 years as head coach at Northwestern University and is the winningest coach in Wildcat history. She led NU to three consecutive appearances in the Women’s College World Series (1984-86). She also led the New England Riptide to the 2006 NPF championship.
As a coach, she was active in both the NCAA and NFCA, serving as chair of the NCAA Softball Rules Committee and as a member of the NFCA Division I All-American and Coaching Staff of the Year Committee as well as the Bylaws committee. She is also responsible for writing the NFCA bylaws. Drysdale was inducted into the NFCA Hall of Fame in 1994.
