Help Fight Cancer

The NFCA has joined in the American Cancer Society’s fight
against cancer. Please join us in one or both of the following initiatives:
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer– Most events are in October
so act fast!
Remember Julie Jones’ breast cancer story from Fastpitch Delivery? Julie is
getting a team together to walk in her local Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer, the American Cancer Society’s noncompetitive walk that raises funds and
awareness to fight breast cancer. NFCA members and teams are encouraged to get
involved, help save lives and honor those who have battled this disease. Here
are some easy ways to get involved:
• Visit the
Making Strides
Homepage or the
NFCA’s
special section
to sign up for a Making Strides in your community.
Here, you
can set up a personal Web page to help raise donations and send messages to
family members, friends and others to ask for their support. It’s easy! You can
even include a picture, perhaps one of you or your team.
• Volunteer to help at your
local Making Strides event and/or with one of the American Cancer Society’s many
support programs.
• If you are unable to walk,
or if there is not a Making Strides event in your area, you can make a
tax
deductible contribution at to one of the NFCA teams in another
part of the country.
StrikeOut Cancer–
NFCA members are encouraged to hold a StrikeOut Cancer event in conjunction with
one of your home games. This event can raise money for your local American
Cancer Society chapter, promote cancer screening and recognize cancer survivors
in the community. To find out more, click

The NFCA and the American Cancer Society THANK YOU for your
support.
