NFCA Job Opportunity - Assistant Executive Director
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association invites applications for the position of Assistant Executive Director. The position involves development of NFCA recruiting tournaments, as well supervisory duties of the NFCA coaching education program. The selected candidate can be located in the U.S. city of his or her choice.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting Tournaments: Develop NFCA recruiting tournaments, including site selection and format • Work with travel teams and college coaches in generating interest for the tournaments • Handle logistical details.
Coaching Education: Develop content for new coaching education projects, including online courses and NFCA state clinics/meetings • Maintain existing programs, including staffing and content.
Administration: Serve as primary administrator for designated NFCA committees and groups, including the travel ball membership • Handle other duties as assigned by the executive director, including duties at the NFCA National Convention.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree Required • Minimum of five years fastpitch coaching experience at a high level • Excellent presentation and communication skills (oral and written) • Demonstrated management experience and proven effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
Salary commensurate with experience in the $40,000 to $60,000 range, in addition to benefits. Employment will begin between May 1 and June 1, 2010. Applicants must submit resume, cover letter, and complete contact information of three references via email to Lacy Lee Baker by March 1, 2010.
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association, incorporated in 1984, is a 501(c)(3) membership organization dedicated to professional growth of fastpitch softball coaches. Primary areas of focus are coaching education, awards programs to recognize outstanding fastpitch coaches and players, communication vehicles to teach and promote the sport, recruiting camps and tournaments, and legislative efforts to improve the sport through affiliation with governing entities.
