The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced that Coast to Coast Softball has agreed to become an NFCA Corporate Friend and the “International Team Tour Partner” of the association.
Coast to Coast Softball, a company that develops all-star softball teams to compete in Australia, Europe and Hawaii, was founded in 2003 and has taken over 500 college prospects from 35 states on international trips. In addition to offering quality competition and top-notch coaching, the company also provides players educational seminars on its trips, covering topics such as recruiting, the mental game vs. the physical game, off-season conditioning, speed and agility training, and nutrition.
“Coast to Coast Softball will use the NFCA Recruiting Camps to evaluate prospects for its all-star teams,” said Lacy Lee Baker, NFCA executive director. “Campers will now have the opportunity to be considered for international playing opportunities through this prominent organization.”
Shelly Koehler, Coast to Coast Softball Executive Program Director, is a former assistant college coach, high school head softball coach and Division III player at Elmhurst College.
“It is an honor to be the NFCA’s International Team Tour Partner,” said Koehler. “Each year we at Coast to Coast search for top quality players, those who have a dream of playing at the next level, to represent the U.S. on our all-star teams, and the NFCA does a great job of attracting those talented players. It is a good fit and I am very excited to work together with the NFCA to offer this opportunity to athletes who participate in the NFCA showcases. It is a stimulating time to be in alignment with educating and impacting our young athletes with international interaction.”
