Guiding the nation along with Deer Park High School (Texas) with four first-team choices apiece, Basha High School (Arizona) also joined North Davidson Senior High School (North Carolina) and Washburn Rural High School (Kansas) in topping the country with five total recipients each. Overall, 32 squads received more than one NFCA H.S. All-Region selection.

Basha saw its 2013 season come to a premature end in the Arizona Division I State Softball Tournament by suffering a 12-5 upset defeat to Chaparral. North Davidson dropped a 6-4 decision to Southeast Guilford (N.C.) in the quarterfinals of the NCHSAA Class 4-A state playoffs, and Washburn Rural lost to Olathe East in the KSHSAA 6-A state title game, 5-3.

All players who were selected to one of the five first teams in their respective region are now eligible to be chosen as a 2013 NFCA High School All-American. The 2013 NFCA High School All-American teams will be announced on Tuesday, June 25, via NFCA.org.
