Denver, Colorado -- Thirteen women have been selected by the Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL) to participate as the WPSL All-Stars in their nationwide tour against the WPSL Gold Team. The final member of the all-star team will come from the NCAA ranks at the conclusion of the collegiate season. The Gold team will consist of former Olympians from the United States and other countries and is expected to be named Monday, March 26. The "Tour of Fastpitch Champions" is scheduled to begin June 1 in Plant City, Forida, and to continue through 13 cities being targeted for future expansion.
"I think we have great individual players that will make up an outstanding team," WPSL All-Star Head coach Tim Kiernan said. "If we do what we are supposed to do day in and day out, we are going to win our share of games." For details, including the WPSL All-Star roster, click here.
