Composition and Duties of the Tournament and Camp Committee per the NFCA Bylaws:
The following is a structure developed after the convention, therefore, it was not approved as a bylaw change. It will be used as a trial structure in 2010, with a final recommendation considered at the 2011 convention.
a) Composition and Selection. The Tournament and Camp Committee shall be chaired by the Second Vice-President. It shall consist of six active members elected by majority vote of the entire active membership and no more than five additional committee members, appointed by the chair. (Note: Appointed committee members must be members of the NFCA, but they need not be active members.) The President and the Executive Director shall serve as ex-officio members of this committee and shall have voice but no vote.
b) Term of Service. The Second Vice-President shall serve as chair as long as she/he remains in office. The term of service of committee members shall be two years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms.
c) Duties. It shall be the duty of the Tournament and Camp Committee to:
(1) Provide direction for NFCA tournaments and camps.
(2) Give input regarding structure and format of the events.
(3) Assist in marketing and promoting the events.
