Responsibilities:
NFCA Recruiting Tournaments, National Fastpitch Coaches College, Travel Ball Liaison

Bio: Jeanette Goodwin became the Assistant Executive Director for the Association in June of 2010. Goodwin’s primary duties include managing the curriculum for the National Fastpitch Coaches College and developing the NFCA’s new recruiting tournaments, which are scheduled to launch in the summer of 2011.

"We're really excited about Jen coming on board,” said NFCA Executive Director Lacy Lee Baker. “Besides her great work ethic and softball knowledge, I'm sure the membership will enjoy working with her in moving the sport forward."

Goodwin, a former softball standout from Bridgewater State, spent the priortwo years before joining the NFCA as the operations director for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Dartmouth. This marked Goodwin’s second stint at the school, having previously served as the Interim Head Softball Coach for the Big Green during the 2002-2003 season.

After Dartmouth, the Braintree, Mass., native spent two years as the Associate Head Coach at San Jose State, before returning to the Ivy League in 2006 as the Assistant Coach for Harvard. Goodwin spent two years under the tutelage of Head Coach Jenny Allard before going back to Dartmouth in the fall of 2008.

“I left coaching for a year and half because I wanted to try something different. After a while I really started to miss the game, but I wanted to do something at the administrative level and this job just seemed like a perfect match for my experience.”

One of Goodwin’s primary duties is to help develop and administer the NFCA’s newest venture, recruiting camps. Goodwin will help build this program from the ground up, which is something that originally helped draw her to the position.

“It really excites me for both college and travel ball coaches to know that we will be developing and running tournaments, all the while having the best interest of both parties at heart and can run the tournaments to each group’s exacting standards."

Goodwin has a B.S. in Physical Education with an emphasis in Recreation from Bridgewater State University and currently resides in Hanover, N.H.
