oordination of updates to the NFCA web site; writing and distribution of press releases to generate national publicity for the NFCA and sport of fastpitch softball; writing articles for the association’s newspaper Fastpitch Delivery and web site; coordinating the NFCA Division I and Division II top 25 polls; working as media coordinator for NFCA-sponsored tournaments, including the production of game programs; serving as liaison to NFCA committees as well as the NFCA's Division II liaison, and management of other media areas, including the production of NFCA publications.

Bio: Brian Davis was named the new NFCA Director of Media Relations in August of 2012.

His main responsibilities include the coordination of updates to the NFCA web site, the writing and distribution of press releases to generate national publicity for the coaches organization as well as producing articles for the association’s monthly member newspaper Fastpitch Delivery, the coordination of both the NFCA Division I and Division II top 25 polls and serving as the NFCA’s Division II liaison.

A native of Jackson, Tenn., Davis served from 2004-2012 as the media relations contact for the softball and soccer teams at Tennessee. During his time with the Lady Vol softball program, he was in charge of all publicity efforts for five of UT's Women’s College World Series teams and helped 12 players earn a total of 24 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American designations. Previously, Davis served as the women's basketball and men's golf media relations contact at Vanderbilt (2003-04) and as a graduate assistant/intern in media relations working with the Tennessee Lady Vol basketball program (2000-03).

Davis holds a bachelor's in communications with an emphasis in broadcasting (1997) and a master's in sport management (2002) from Tennessee.
