Anne Arundel Named Speedline/NFCA NJCAA III CSOY

Anne Arundel Community College head coach Don Bishoff, along with assistants Bill Henderson, Ken Stoll and Kristen Bishoff, have been named the 2006 Speedline/NFCA NJCAA Division III Coaching Staff of the Year, the association announced Wednesday. 

Bischoff and the AACC staff will be honored at the 2006 NFCA National Convention in Tucson, Ariz., Dec. 6-9. 

Bischoff led the Pioneers to a 37-10 record and a third-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament. He also led Anne Arundel to the Region XX and Maryland Junior College Conference titles. 

The Anne Arundel staff was also recognized as Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Other regional winners are as follows: 

East Region — Gloucester County College 
Head Coach — Stephen DePasquale 
Assistant Coach — Mark Enders 

DePasquale and Enders led Gloucester to a 32-14 overall record and a second-place finish in the Region XIX tournament. 

North Region — Rochester Tech 
Head Coach — Jean Musgjerd 
Assistant Coaches — Shelley Boettcher and Don Baldus 

Musgjerd and her staff led Rochester Tech to a 22-15 final mark for the season. Under her guidance, the Yellowjackets claimed a second-place finish at the Region XIII A tournament and advanced to the semifinals of the MCCC state tournament.
