Lock Haven's Erb Named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Player of the Week

Lock Haven University freshman pitcher/infielder Kristin Erb has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Player of the Week for the week of Mar. 27-Apr. 2, the association announced Wednesday.

Erb led the squad from the plate and the circle during the week. Offensively she hit .600 over six games with two home runs and six RBIs.

In the circle she picked up four wins and a save in five appearances. The Reading, Pa., native allowed just two earned runs in 24 innings of work, and she struck out 22 hitters over that span.

In the opening game of a doubleheader with Slippery Rock, she went 3-for-4 with a double, home run, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Against divisional rival California University (Pa.), Erb picked up the victory in both contests, allowing six hits over 10 scoreless innings.
