The Vikings won the North Carolina Class 4A championship, and finished the 2005 season undefeated.

Sherill, in his second year at the helm of the Cabarrus program, lead the Vikings to a 32-0 record.

Over the last two years, Sherill has guided Cabarrus to an impressive 64-1 record.

The Viking staff was also honored as the Speedline/NFCA South Central regional staff of the year. Other top Speedline regional staffs are:

The Saddlelites dominated Division I play, putting together a staggering 21-game winning streak stretching over both the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

SOUTH CENTRAL REGION – Brenham High School (Brenham, Texas)

Wade Wilson, Head Coach

Head coach Wade Wilson led Brenham to a 38-win season and the Texas Class 4A crown in 2005. The Cubettes had one of their most productive seasons ever by winning their first state championship since 1996, playing 12 consecutive games without an error and committing just 30 errors in a 44-game stretch.
