San Diego State Set To Host NFCC Course 404 - Teaching Solid Team Defense and Strategy

San Diego State University is set host National Fastpitch Coaches College Course 404 - Teaching Solid Defense and Strategy, Jan. 15-17 on the SDSU campus, 

One of just six Division I schools to be selected, the course will be offered at the Aztec Athletic Center. 

Participants enrolled in the course will will learn how to teach players to defense hits, bunts, slaps and steals, as well as how to execute relays, pickoffs and rundowns. 

The course will also provide an in-depth analysis of various defense sets and how to select the appropriate set for a variety of game situations. Participants will also receive assistance in identifying and developing a personal defensive philosophy and developing strategic insight. 

The instructors for the course include Cal State Fullerton coach Michelle Gromacki, Texas coach Connie Clark and former Northwestern coach and director of the NFCC Sharon Drysdale.
