The NFCA has announced that the University of Oregon will host National Fastpitch Coaches College Course 402 - Advanced Analysis of Individual Fundamental Skills. The course will be offered Nov. 5-7 at the Casanova Center on the Eugene campus.

Participants enrolled in the course will learn how to analyze and teach individual fundamental skills. Those enrolled in the course will also learn and examine rules related to fundamental skills.

The course will also allow participants a forum to discuss progressions, drills and coaching cues for the teaching of fielding, throwing, receiving, pitching, hitting, bunting, slapping and effective base running.

The instructors for the course include Oregon State head coach Kirk Walker, Arizona State and Greek Olympic coach Linda Wells and Fresno State's Margie Wright, the winningest coach in Division I history.

Oregon will be the only Pac-10 school to host an NFCC course during the 2004-05 season. The cost of the three-day course is $225 for NFCA members and $250 for non-NFCA members. Participants can save $25 by registering at least 14 days in advance. For more information, coaches can contact the NFCA at 662/320-2155 or Ducks head coach Kathy Arendsen at 541/346-5305.
