Louisville Slugger/NFCA NJCAA Division I All-America Teams Announced

Pima Community Collfege (Ariz.), the NJCAA Division I national champion, placed five players on All-America teams, which were announced Wednesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. 

Pima was led by a pair of first team selections, Ashley Monceaux and Kristina Schmallen. 

Monceaux ranked ninth in the nation with a .482 batting average. Schmallen hit .432 for the Phoenix, Ariz., school. Rebecca Lebsack, Kendra Palmer and Lisa Parks represented Pima on the second team. 

Gulf Coast (Fla.) Community College placed three players on the first team, led by infielder Chatore Moore. Outfielder Ashley Bennett and designated player Mayret Perez joined Moore on the first team. 

Other first team members were Darya Shembereva, Midland College (Texas); Carly Keellam, Daytona Beach (Fla.); Tiffany Hartsell, Navarro College; Stacie Oakley, Young Harris College; Nicki Wislson, Texarkana College; Shanna Cook, Indian Hills; Jeanette Rincon, Central Arizona; Deidra Baitey, Santa Fe; Heather Parsons, Indian Hills; Maribel Riera, Southeastern.
