WHAT THEY SAID
"We always talk about character and tonight it was a senior (Lindsay Gardner) whostepped up and made it happen on base. It was nice to lean on senior leadership. I have to give credit to Cal. They played like defending champs."
"This was probably the best game I've had so far (career). I finally felt like I hadmy game from the first pitch. I mixed all five pitches well. I never think one run isenough, but I'll take it." ON PLAYING ARIZONA: "I just know that I have to mix it up withthat team. I can't hang anything, especially with Lovie (Jung). We're really excited. We'renot looking to the finals. We're not thinking we're one game from the finals, we're justtaking it one game at a time."
"It's been a joke all year that the only reason people have trouble getting me out on base is because I'm not even sure what I'm doing."
"It was a tough game. It was a pitcher's duel for a while. Unfortunately for us wewere not able to come up with key hits. They did a great job."
"She's got great movement. I don't know if she had her A-game, but she kept us offbalance. (I think I was chasing pitches because) I was eager. I've never faced herbefore."
