LET'S DANCE -- NCAA DIVISION I SELECTION SHOW ON ESPNEWS SUNDAY: Tune into ESPNEWS this Sunday for the NCAA Division I Selection Show. The selection show airs at (pick your time zone) 9 p.m. (Eastern)/8 p.m. (Central)/7 p.m. (Mountain)/6 p.m. (Pacific)/3 p.m. (Hawaii).

DANCE, DANCE, DANCE (YOWSAH, YOWSAH, YOWSAH): They've already started "dancing" in Division II, Division III, NAIA and NJCAA. Regionals are winding down in NAIA and NJCAA, while regionals are starting up in NCAA Divisions II and III. The California JC Championship is taking place in Fresno, Calif. NFCA Home Plate on the Web will provide updates of action from all divisions.

NUVEMAN BECOMES NCAA CAREER HOME RUN LEADER: One week after tying the NCAA career home run record, UCLA senior Stacey Nuveman became the all-time home run leader, belting her 86th and 87th career home runs. She hit the record-breaker Saturday against Oregon State, then extended her record with another homer Sunday. Nuveman had shared the record with Leah Bratz (1994-95, 97-98) and Laura Espinoza (1992-95), both of Arizona.

FANTASTIC FINISH: Although Nebraska came up one win short in last weekend's Big 12 Tournament, the Huskers may havehad the most dramatic finish of the tournament in a win over Texas A&M. Nicole Trimboli broke a 2-2 tie with a walk-off grand slam home run in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Huskers to a 6-2 victory.

STOLEN BASE RECORD CORRECTION: Last week, we reported that Georgia's Nicole Barber broke the Division I record for consecutive successful stolen bases. However, we reported the incorrect total. Barber holds the Division I record with 73 consecutive successful stolen bases.

FLY LIKE AN EAGLE: (Last song reference, I promise.) Ashland has taken full advantage of the first year of automatic qualifying in the NCAA Division II championship. The Eagles were "on the bubble," ranked No. 7 in the final regular-season Great Lakes Region rankings. Ashland won last weekend's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed to earn an automatic berth in the Division II championship. They entered the Great Lakes Regional Tournament as the No. 6 seed, but opened with a 1-0 victory over top-seeded and nationally second-ranked Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

MILESTONES: St. Cloud State head coach Paula U'Ren recorded career win No. 200 in the Huskies' 2-0 victory over Wisconsin-Superior on May 1.
