National Fastpitch Coaches College Session Scheduled for Oklahoma City

The next session of the National Fastpitch Coaches College will take place May 24-26 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Course 108 - Coaching Observation & Participation will be offered at Oklahoma Christian University. In addition, course work will included observation of selected games at the Women's College World Series at Don E. Porter Hall of Fame Stadium.

Instructors for Course 108 include Sharon Drysdale, Director of National Fastpitch Coaches College. Drysdale is a 30-year coaching veteran who recently retired as head coach at Northwestern University. With a Ph.D. in Physical Education, Drysdale combines her academic background and NCAA coaching experience in developing a curriculum that focuses on interactive learning environments.

Also serving as instructors are St. Thomas University (Minn.) head coach John Tschida and Cheir Kempf, owner of Club K and Company, Inc., in Tennessee.

The program consists of four levels, beginning with a One-Star Master Coach certificate and ending with a Four-Star Master Coach designation.

*    One-Star Master Coach -- Complete coursework and pass testing in two 
courses.**   Two-Star Master Coach -- Complete coursework and pass testing 
in four courses.***  Three-Star Master Coach -- Complete coursework and pass 
testing in six courses.**** Four-Star Master Coach -- Complete coursework 
and pass testing in eight courses.
