On the year, Spignola is 8-3 with a 2.06 ERA and 66 strikeouts.  She currently leads the team in all major pitching categories and has recorded three shutouts.

For the week, North Carolina went 5-1 and is currently 9-5 on the year.  This week, the Tar Heels will travel to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for five games in the 2011 Citrus Classic, including tilts with No. 13 Oregon and undefeated Notre Dame.
