Yavapai, LSU-Eunice Still On Top In NJCAA DI & DII; DuPage Takes Over In DIII

NJCAACOLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Yavapai held on to the top spot in the NJCAA Division I poll for the sixth straight week, while LSU-Eunice stayed in control of the DII poll for the fourth consecutive week. The only change in the latest rankings, released by the association on Wednesday, came in the DIII poll where the College of DuPage became the third different No. 1 team in four weeks.

In the DI poll, the only new addition to the top five was Chipola at No. 5, while last week's No. 5, Chattanooga State, fell to eighth. Salt Lake, Temple and Indian River all held onto to their previous spots at second through fourth, respectively.

Kankakee moved up two spots to second in the DII poll, while Parkland vaulted from sixth to take third. In the rest of the top five, Phoenix dropped two spots from second to fourth, while Mesa held tight at fifth.

Last week's second through sixth teams all moved up one spot this week with Brookdale, Monroe, Ridgewater and Tompkins-Cortland coming in at second through fifth, respectively. Meanwhile, last week's top team, Corning, fell seven spots to eighth.
