NFCA MaxPreps Award for the Week Ending October 8th
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Senior Tayler Hall of Windsor High School in Windsor, Co., has been named the MaxPreps High School Player of the Week by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for games played through October 8, 2011.
Hall continued her winning ways after tossing a perfect game against Frederick (Co.) last week, earning two more victories including a complete game shutout over Roosevelt (Co.). In that game the senior struck out 12 while yielding only 2 hits, improving her record to 10-2 on the season. The senior has also been hot at the plate as she currently leads her team in slugging percentage (.776) and home runs (4). So far this season she owns an ERA of 1.42, holding opposing batters to a .167 batting average while yielding only 5 extra base hits in 74 innings pitched. Her efforts this past week helped the Wizzards improve to 12-0 in league and 15-3-1 overall.
