Kennesaw State Favored in Peach Belt

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Kennesaw State University Owls are once again the favorites to win the Peach Belt Athletic Conference softball title, according to a poll of PBAC softball coaches.

Kennesaw State collected eight first-place votes and totaled 98 points to outdistance second-place University of North Florida. The Lady Ospreys picked up two first-place votes and totaled 88 points. Armstrong Atlantic State University (86 points) was selected third and received the remaining first-place vote, followed by Columbus State University (68), USC Spartanburg (63), Francis Marion (53), Georgia College & State University (38), Augusta State University (36), Lander University and USC Aiken (32), and UNC Pembroke (11).

Teams in the poll were awarded ten points for a first place vote, nine forû second, etc., with votes from the eleven PBAC member coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.
