Evergreen’s Morgan Milstead Named MaxPreps/NFCA H.S. Player of the Week
Milstead recorded an outstanding .727 overall batting average (8-for-11) to go along with five runs scored, a double and a RBI while also picking up a pitching victory during an 8-3 triumph over Woodland Park (CO). She is now hitting .493 on the year for the 12-10 Cougars, to go along with a .551 on-base percentage, a .754 slugging percentage, 31 runs scored, six doubles, four HR’s and 17 RBIs. In the circle she possesses a 9-6 mark with a 2.17 ERA and 72 strikeouts over 71 innings of work.
She was a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored, a double, a walk and a stolen base and 3-for-4 with two tallies during a pair of match-ups against Palmer Ridge (CO) and fired a complete-game, three-hitter while going 2-for-4 at the dish with a RBI in an 8-3 victory over Woodland Park (CO).

To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete's game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week’s award.
The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Players of the Week will be announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the spring season, with one representative chosen from each of five separate high school regions. During the fall campaign, just a single player will be selected representing all participating regions.

Coaches who enter their team’s stats on Max Preps will not only be nominating their players for this award, but they will be getting their team’s information out to thousands of high school sports fans, as well as college coaches across the country.
