NCAA Division I Super Regional Central
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2013 NCAA Division I Softball Championship Super Regionals are slated to begin on Thurs., May 23, with a pair of games slated to be broadcast live on ESPN.
Action will get started on Thursday in the Norman Super Regional as top-seeded Oklahoma hosts No. 16-seed Texas A&M in the first game of their best-of-three series live on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET. Following the action between the Sooners and Aggies, No. 6-seed Missouri will welcome in No. 11-seed Washington for the initial match-up of the Columbia Super Regional with a first pitch scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
The remaining seven NCAA Super Regionals will be contested beginning either Friday or Saturday at campus sites throughout the country. Eight-seeded Michigan and Louisiana-Lafayette will kick-off Friday’s action at 2 p.m. ET in the Ann Arbor Super Regional (ESPNU), while seventh-seeded Tennessee and 10th-seeded Alabama (7 p.m. ET – ESPN2) and No. 4-seed Texas and Florida State (9 p.m. ET – ESPNU) will follow later Friday evening in openers at the Knoxville and Austin Super Regionals, respectively.
The remaining three NCAA Super Regionals will commence on Saturday as second-seeded Florida welcomes upstart UAB to Gainesville, Fla. for a 1 p.m. ET first pitch (ESPN). Match-ups between third-seeded Oregon and 14th-seeded Nebraska (8 p.m. ET – ESPNU) and fifth-seeded Arizona State versus 12th-seeded Kentucky (10 p.m. ET – ESPN2) are scheduled for late night broadcasts from the Eugene and Tempe Super Regionals, respectively.
