Five Team USA Contests at the World Cup of Softball VIII Slated for Broadcast on ESPN/ESPN2

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - ESPN’s family of networks will broadcast five USA Softball Women’s National Team games live between Thursday and Sunday from the General Tire World Cup of Softball VIII in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The USA Softball Women’s National team will open ESPN’s coverage of the General Tire World Cup of Softball Thursday evening at 8 p.m. ET when they take on Canada. Team USA will be looking for it’s seventh World Cup title as they face Australia, Japan, Puerto Rico and Canada over the week. While all USA games will be broadcasted live on ESPN and ESPN2, all non-USA World Cup games will be streamed live at USASoftball.com.

The Border Battle kicks off the action in Oklahoma City on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN3 with the USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch National Team taking on the Canadian Slow Pitch National Team in the fifth annual event. USA leads the series 3-1 and will look to extend it to four wins. At 4 p.m. ET on ESPN3 the USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch National Team returns to the field to take on the USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch Futures Team in the second edition of the Slow Pitch Showdown.
