Position Announcement: Fort Hays State University

Fort Hays State University (NCAA Division II) announces a position opening beginning June 12, 2000, or as soon as a qualified person is identified. Date of notice, April 14, 2000. Non tenure track, 12-month position. Salary is competitive, based on experience.

Responsibilities: The administration of all phases of an NCAA Division II Women's Fastpitch Softball program including recruiting quality student-athletes, organizing and training successful competition, monitoring and supporting the academic success of the student-athletes, planning and conducting pre and postseason conditioning programs, hiring, supervising and evaluating personnel, relations and promotional activities appropriate for the position.

The successful candidate will assist in the area of sports information or athletic training as required. Bachelor's degree is required, master's degree is preferred in related field (sports information or athletic training). Three to five years of successful women's fastpitch softball coaching experience is preferred. Successful candidate will have experience in recruiting highly competitive student-athletes, strong communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence.
