On Field Interaction Adds New Element to NFCC Courses

Montclair, New Jersey -- The NFCC kicked off it's Fall Schedule with Course 403 “Position Play and Individual Defense” at Monclair State University. Highlighting this year's courses, the on-field demonstration proved to be a successful addition to what was already a one of a kind learning experience. "This was my 5th class, and I have got to say every class, not sure how it happens, is better than the previous", said class participant Dan Jones of Ephrata High School.

With the new addition of the on-field instruction, coaches received important educational material in the classroom as well as valuable instructional time on the field. “Regarding feedback, I am usually not easily impressed with fastpitch softball clinics (maybe it’s because I've been playing the sport for 40 years) but I was very impressed by Cindy, John and Bill's presentation”, said Richard Vaccaro assistant coach at County College of Morris. The coaches were able to see college athletes and coaches execute drills in a practice setting allowing them the opportunity to run the drills themselves. This enables them to properly demonstrate these drills to their teams when they return home.

This course was an outstanding jump-start for the 2009 NFCC Courses. The NFCC continues to strive to enhance the game of fastpitch softball and ensure each coach takes away the knowledge they were looking for from these courses. The new on-field element will be offered at each clinic and will allow you to learn drills necessary for running a winning program. If you would like information on more NFCC Courses, click here
