NFCA Announces 2013 Top 10 All-Academic Team Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Division III’s Emerson College registered a 3.700 team grade point average (GPA) during the 2012-2013 academic year to lead all colleges in the 2013 NFCA Top 10 All-Academic Team Rankings.

The NFCA Academic Awards program honors both collegiate and high school teams for their submitted GPAs from the 2012-13 academic year.

Leading the way in NCAA Division I was the University of Alabama, which turned in a 3.690 squad GPA, while Ohio Dominican (3.632) and Taylor University (3.615) led NCAA Division II and the NAIA, respectively. East Mississippi Community College posted a 3.568 team GPA to head the list of junior colleges.

In the high school categories, Byron Nelson High School nabbed top honors among programs with weighted GPAs via a 4.650 mark, while Hazelton Area High School proved the best among non-weighted schools with a 3.968 GPA.
