CBS Sports Network To Televise TC Rising Stars 16U Elite Eight Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the third straight year CBS Sports Network will nationally televise the TC Rising Stars 16u Elite Eight Championship and All-American Game live in HD on Friday, Oct. 25, from Central Park in Plantation, FL.  The 16u Championship will start at 1:00 p.m. ET with the All-American Game immediately following.

The 16u Elite Eight bracket features six teams ranked in the top 100 and three in the top 20 of the National Club Rankings: No. 111 Birmingham Thunderbolts (AL); No. 15 Mizuno Storm-Beach (AZ); No. 20 Gold Coast Hurricanes (FL); No. 40 Jacksonville Storm-Palmer (FL); TC Tremors Gold (NY); No. 72 Houston Power Gold-Glowacz (TX); No. 9 Impact Gold-Taylor (TX); and No. 70 Vienna Stars (VA).   Teams will play in a single elimination format starting on Friday at 8am, with the semifinals at 10am.  Winners will then face off on national television.

Thad Anderson (play-by-play) and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michele Smith (analyst) will be calling both games.  Amanda Scarborough, former Texas A&M pitcher, will be the Dugout Reporter offering insights and interviewing players and coaches. 

Anderson, Smith and Scarborough will be live tweeting during the games and highly encourage fans, viewers, coaches, and players to tweet as well using #TCSports.
