Louisville Slugger/NFCA NJCAA Division I All-Region Selections Announced

 The Louisville Slugger/NFCA NJCAA Division I All-Region selections were announced on Tuesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. First and second teams were announced for the Midwest, South and West regions for the NJCAA Division I.

In the Midwest region, Blinn College leads the way with five All-Region selections. Three players, pitcher Carlee Winkelmann, shortstop Caley Jeter and outfielder Hanna Schwarz, earned first-team All-Region selections while pitcher Lindsey Brown and outfielder Tiffany Galletti were named second-team All-Region. 

Santa Fe College and Wallace State Community College lead the South region with four All-Region selections apiece. Santa Fe had two first-team selections, including outfielders Brittany Cannon and Lawna Hunter, along with second-teamers pitcher Kimberly Squires and third baseman Kristina Cruz. 

Wallace State leads all schools with three first-team selections including pitcher Kelsey Dennis, first baseman Stephanie Needham and outfielder Sallie Van Kirk. Second-team second baseman Sallie Burch rounds out the Wallace State honorees. 

In the West region, Yavapai leads all schools with five All-Region selections, all of them first teamers. That list includes pitchers Audrey Workman and Jenna Rodriguez, catcher Brittany Tucker, third baseman Kacie Smith and outfielder Caitlin Stangl 

Pima Community College also had five all-region selections with two first teamers and three second teamers. Their first-team selections include second baseman Logan Hall and DP Elisha Stensby, while the second-team selections include pitcher Jordan Trujillo, third baseman Kaity Ingram and outfielder Alex Marshall.
