ABOUT MEZIERE:She has won or shared team MVP honors at two different schools, Phillips in 1998 (co-MVP) and Southern Arkansas in 1999. She made the All-GSC Academic Honor Roll last year and carries a cumulative GPA of 3.52 after posting a 3.82 during the fall semester. She holds every pitching record in the Southern Arkansas program and has the distinction of winning the first game in the history of both programs, Phillips in 1997 and Southern Arkansas in 1999. She transferred to Southern Arkansas after Phillips closed its doors following the 1997-98 academic year.

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS COACH KEVIN BLASKOWSKI, WHO COACHED MEZIERE AT PHILLIPS AND SAU: "Jenny's greatest tool is her mental toughness. She is a perfect example that speed is not the only tool to being a great pitcher. Her control has been outstanding. In starting two programs, Jenny has been called on to be a workhorse and to carry us from the pitcher's circle and she has responded. Her teammates and the coaching staff have the utmost confidence that she is going to put us in a position to win when she goes to the circle. It has been a coach's dream to work with Jenny. Watching her grow from a freshman to a senior has been a great experience."
