NFCC Course 402 Offered in Gresham, Ore., Dec. 5-7

 NFCC Course 402 will be offered in Gresham, Ore., on the campus of Mt. Hood Community College, December 5-7, 2008. The class will take place in the Visual Arts Theater. 

Course 402, entitled “Advanced Analysis of Hitting, Pitching and Short Game Skills,” will feature instructors Kirk Walker, head coach at Oregon State; Don Slaught, former MLB catcher and owner of RightView Pro; and Margie Wright, head coach at Fresno State. 

The course emphasizes how to analyze and teach fundamental individual skills. You will learn and examine: 

• Study the mechanics of hitting, pitching, bunting and slapping 
• Examine skills through video and photo analysis 
• Know and identify both efficient and inefficient performances and discuss how to correct typical errors in performance 
• Learn coaching cues and drills to improve your batter’s and pitcher’s fundamental skills

NFCC classes can be taken for personal growth and development as a coach or as an opportunity to earn continuing education units through Mississippi State University, Master Coach status or credits toward a master’s degree in kinesiology through Texas Woman’s University.
