2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-Region Teams Announced

2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-Region Teams 

Pendleton Heights High School (Ind.) and Olathe East High School (Kan.) each had three players earn first-time all-region accolades to pace the 2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-Region Teamsreleased Wednesday afternoon. 

Pendleton Heights placed first baseman Erin Falkenberry on the first team in the North region. Fellow corner infielder, third baseman Rebecca Butler, joined her on the first team along with outfielder Chelsea Held. Illinois Class A state champion Beecher had catcher Jenna Grim and at-large selection Alex Lagesse earn first team accolades, while another Illinois squad, Barrington, had pitcher Claire Voris and outfielder Sammie Bloomfield garner first-team accolades. 

Olathe East led the South Central region with three first team honorees. Pitcher Eranne Daugharthy garnered a first-team selection along with catcher Kristen Rock and first baseman Ashley Guil after the trio helped their team to the Kansas Class 6A state championship. 

A trio of Texas powers each landed two players on the South Central first team. Brenham High School second baseman Emily Albus earned the honor along with outfielder Nicole Warmke, while Pearland High School battery-mates Rhiannon Kliesing and Kelsea Orsak each secured the right to be considered for all-America accolades. Bryan High School placed shortstop Angela Spittler and outfielder Alex Survant on the first team. 

Shadle Park (Wash.) matched Pacifica High School (Calif.) and Sheldon (Calif.) with a pair players on the first team in the West region after it claimed the Washington 4A state championship and finished the season with a No. 12 ranking in the final USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll. Pitcher Samantha Skillingstad landed a spot on the first team, and she was joined on the squad by outfielder Allie Burger. 

Pacifica, the winner of the CIF Southern Section Division II state title, put two players on the first team as shortstop Monica Harrison and outfielder Andrea Harrison earned the honor following stellar campaigns. CIF Sac-Joaquin Division I champion Sheldon, which finished the year ranked No. 6 nationally, placed pitcher Jolene Henderson on the first team along with second baseman Alexa Rivera. Canyon del Oro, who finished the season ranked second after winning the Arizona 4A-I title, put standout pitcher Kenzie Fowler on the first team. 

Another standout pitcher, Ashley Brignac of John Curtis Christian School (La.) earned first team all-South Region accolades after guiding her team to the state 2A championship and winning Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year. 

Fellow Louisiana squad St. Amant joined Broad Run (Va.) and Vestavia Hills (Ala.) in each placing earning two first-team selections in the South region. St. Amant put catcher Starla Guffey and designated player Kandace Bourdreaux on the first team. 

Broad Run, who captured the AA state championship, landed pitcher Caitlyn Delahaba and outfielder Ashley Kramer on the first team, while second baseman Ali Bainbridge and outfielder Whitney Larson garnered first-team accolades for Vestavia Hills. 

Sussex Technical High School in Delaware earned the only multiple first team selections in the East region as second baseman Brittany Joseph and outfielder Hope Cornell secured spots on the squad at their respective positions.
