Arizona Continues Hold on No. 1 in NFCA Simulated RPI

2007 NFCA Simulated Ratings Percentage Index

Arizona remains atop the 2007 NFCA Simulated Ratings Percentage Index for the fourth straight week, but Oklahoma emerged as the new No. 2 team in the rankings this week.

Oklahoma moves just behind the Wildcats, taking the No. 2 spot previously held by Alabama in the rankings that are compiled each week by mathematician Warren Nolan. This week’s ratings utilize records running through Apr. 22.

The Sooners and Crimson Tide both lead their respective conferences that each landed three teams in the top 10.

Texas A&M and Baylor join OU in the top 10, coming in at Nos. 5 and 10, respectively. Tennessee follows Alabama in the fourth spot, while LSU stands ninth.

Big Ten squads Michigan and Northwestern come in at Nos. 6 and 8, with Arizona State splitting the conference foes at No. 7.

The Pac-10 continues to lead the conference ratings, with the SEC following closely behind once again this week.

The Big 12 remains third, followed by the ACC and Big Ten.
