Coe College (Iowa) center fielder Shalyn Swartout is the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Player of the Week for the week of March 26-April 1.

Swartout, a sophomore from Sioux City, Iowa, hit .684 (13-for-19) in six games at the Washington University Invitational in St. Louis. She hit her first four home runs of the season, scored nine runs and drove in 11. In addition to the four home runs, Swartout posted a double, one walk and just one strikeout. She was 4-for-4 with a double and a home run against Washington University (MO), 3-for-3 against Blackburn (IL) with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored and 2-for-2 against Maryville (MO) with a walk, a home run and two RBI.

The weekend performance raised her season batting average to .418, second on the team among starters.
