LOUISVILLE, Ky. — With a dedicated commitment to staying one step ahead in the ever-changing softball landscape, the NFCA is pleased to announce Diamond Kinetics as its newest official sponsor. The partnership is designed to educate the softball community on how to apply and use technology to enhance the learning and training process.
"We are thrilled to announce Diamond Kinetics as an NFCA Official Sponsor,” said NFCA Executive Director Carol Bruggeman. “The use of technology has become very important within the fastpitch community. Diamond Kinetics will provide our members with easy-to-use educational tools to help teams succeed.”
With SwingTracker®, a sensor-based swing analysis system that captures data at roughly 10,000 data points per second and displays it in real-time on a paired mobile device, Diamond Kinetics is currently at the forefront of softball and baseball technology advancement.
As an official sponsor of the NFCA, Diamond Kinetics will have multiple opportunities throughout the year to educate the fastpitch softball community on how to apply and use technology such as SwingTracker, to enhance the learning and training process.
In addition, Diamond Kinetics will be the lead sponsor for the “NFCA/Diamond Kinetics Technology Adoption Scholarship” and the “NFCA Convention App Powered by Diamond Kinetics.”
“Being able to provide a technology scholarship presents a unique learning opportunity for coaches to stay cutting-edge,” Bruggeman said. “Additionally, Diamond Kinetics will be the lead sponsor of our new Convention App which will allow attendees to follow and interact with ‘all things Convention’ at their fingertips.”
The scholarship, which will be presented at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 conventions, will be selected by Diamond Kinetics and the NFCA staff to honor a fastpitch program who has integrated technology into their respective program throughout the preceding year. The winner of this award would receive an honorary plaque, $500 technology stipend and $2,000 in Diamond Kinetics products for continued technology development.
The convention app will be available for the first time and provide a truly unique experience for the attendees at the 2016 NFCA Convention in New Orleans. The app can be downloaded to a preferred mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet) and it will allow attendees to create a personalized calendar of events, interact with speakers in real time and stay on top of all the latest convention schedules, information and developments.
"We are very excited and greatly looking forward to the opportunity to work with the NFCA toward the continued technological development of softball," said Diamond Kinetics CEO C.J. Handron. “This partnership has the opportunity to have a long-lasting, meaningful impact in the game in both the short-term and long-term future for all coaches and players.”
As one of the leading technology companies on the vanguard of softball and baseball hardware and software, Diamond Kinetics is uniquely qualified to help the NFCA adopt, integrate and leverage technology usage throughout the game of softball.
"This partnership shows the NFCA's continuous commitment to improving and bettering the game of softball for coaches and players of all ages and skill levels," said NFCA Past President and University of Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy. “It’s exciting to partner the sport of softball with a cutting-edge company such as Diamond Kinetics.”
