Heather Tarr, who has guided Washington to seven Women’s College World Series appearances, enters her 16th season at the helm of her alma mater. She steered the Huskies to a 2009 WCWS title and a runner-up finish in 2018. The all-time winningest coach in UW athletics history has led the Huskies to 636 wins and five 50-win seasons. Tarr has tutored 28 NFCA All-Americans, including two time USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Danielle Lawrie, seven Pac-12 Players of the Year, and 84 All-Pac-12 honorees. Additionally, Tarr is the head coach of the US U-19 National Team and also serves as an assistant on the U.S. National Team and the 2020 Olympic squad heading to Tokyo.
