LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Lorrin Pondo and Belhaven’s Allie Gordon scored the fifth Division III Wilson/NFCA Pitcher and Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week honors of the 2021 season on Wednesday.

Pondo, a junior right-hander from Bolingbrook, Ill., went 3-0 across four appearances in the circle for the week, with 21 strikeouts and just four walks over 18.2 innings and two complete games. She yielded only two runs over the four contests to drop her earned-run average to 0.43 for the season, as No. 16 Raiders improved to 16-1.

Meanwhile, sophomore third baseman Gordon led the 10th-ranked Blazers in every offensive category, going 7-for-8 (.875) with three doubles, two homers, three walks and eight runs batted in. The Macon, Ga., native also played flawlessly in the field, helping turn two double plays, with three putouts and six assists in nine chances.

Franklin & Marshall junior left fielder Jamie Belfer went 4-for-7 (.571) with a double, triple, two runs and two RBI. … Case Western Reserve senior pitcher Sidney Brannam went 3-0 with 15 strikeouts and just one walk over 18 innings. … Westminster (Pa.) junior pitcher/utility player Madison Brown fanned 10 in a five-inning, four-hit shutout. …  Williams senior outfielder Gabi Cirigliano hit .583 (7-for-13) with six of her seven hits for extra bases, including three doubles and three homers, plus seven runs and eight RBI. … Bethany Lutheran junior pitcher Kassidy Cunningham struck out seven in a three-hitter and helped herself with two hits at the plate in a win over St. Thomas (Minn.). … St. Olaf senior pitcher Julie Graf won both ends of a doubleheader with Macalester, recording 20 of the 23 outs she collected via strikeout, including 15 in the first game and five straight to close the second game. … Muskingum junior first baseman Haley Hawk hit .500 (7-for-14) with two walks (one intentional), two homers and eight RBI. … St. Catherine junior first baseman Angela Huepfel had two doubles, three homers, four runs and nine RBI in her conference-opening series. … Central sophomore pitcher Sydni Huisman won three games in three days following her team’s 33-day layoff due to COVID-19 protocols, including two road wins over perennial power Luther. For the week, she compiled a 0.39 ERA, with three walks (one intentional), 11 strikeouts and one earned run. … Cortland senior pitcher Courtney Kane tossed her school’s first seven-inning solo no-hitter since 2010, striking out six in a 5-0 win over Plattsburgh. … Rhodes senior third baseman Lauren King batted .857 (6-for-7) with three runs, a homer, and five RBI, and also recorded the win in the circle with six strikeouts over three innings. … St. Thomas-Houston senior pitcher Lindsey Longuet threw a no-hitter in her second of two wins, fanning 16 and allowing two hits and no runs for the week. … Berry senior third baseman Bayleigh Masterson went 9-for-14 (.643) with four runs, three doubles, a homer and seven RBI, while handling everything hit her way defensively. … Eastern Connecticut State senior utility player Brooke Matyasovsky hit .538 with two homers, two doubles and eight RBI, while also appearing in the circle in all four games, winning three games and allowing only eight hits over 14 innings. She extended her streak of not allowing an earned run to 28.2 innings, and tossed a three-hitter and a five-hit shutout. … Case Western Reserve senior shortstop Sarah Miller hit .462 with three steals, four homers, eight runs scored and nine RBI. … Wesley junior third baseman Gab Monzo went 7-for-11 (.636) with four walks, a double, a homer and just struck out just once. … Saint Benedict sophomore pitcher Elly Novak fanned 12 and walked two in a one-hitter against Concordia-Moorhead. … Carroll (Wis.) graduate pitcher Amanda Osterhus tossed her fourth career no-hitter against Augustana and collected her 600th strikeout in a shutout of Chicago. For the week, she totaled 29 strikeouts and allowed 10 hits and six earned runs across 19.2 innings. … Hiram freshman shortstop Abriana Schwartz batted .533 with three walks, three doubles, a homer and 10 RBI. … Illinois Wesleyan freshman outfielder Kristina Sherwin had a walkoff triple in the Titans’ 9-8 victory over North Park, part of a 4-for-4 performance, and collected three doubles, two walks, a triple and eight RBI for the week. … Virginia Wesleyan senior first baseman Danielle Stewart went 9-for-13 (.692) with four runs, two doubles and eight RBI. … Babson graduate pitcher Brooke Stock fanned nine to become the third player in school history with 400 strikeouts and allowed just one run on three hits in a win over Coast Guard. … St. Thomas-Houston freshman shortstop Mia Terry hit .667 (6-for-9) with two steals and six RBI. … Eastern Connecticut State graduate outfielder Cassie Woods batted .647 with her first career homer — a walkoff winner on the first pitch she saw in the seventh against UMass-Dartmouth— to cap a 4-for-5 performance. She had multiple hits in all four games against the Corsairs.

Winners are selected by the NFCA Division III Top 25 Committee, which has a representative for each of the eight NCAA regions.
