NFCA Youth Virtual Coaches Clinic: Practice Planning for Game Day Success
October 6 & 13, 2026 | 8-9:30 PM ET

This multiple-week Virtual Coaches Clinic will present practice planning organization concepts, strategies, and techniques for those coaching youth softball. Designed for coaches and parents from 8U - 14U, these 90-minute clinics will cover layering skill development, managing staff, getting creative with time and space limitations, and more. Each session will be recorded and available on demand within 48 hours of the session's end.

Learn how to read your opponent and coordinate the actions of your individual players in order to score and manufacture runs.
Year-Round Mentoring Program
Members Only
Our unique triangle mentorship model will include a base member (someone who is relatively new to coaching), a middle-tier member (a coach who has 6+ years of coaching experience), and a pinnacle member (a coach who has extensive coaching experience). Members are matched with mentors who fit the self-assessed areas for growth. Every effort will be made to separate conference colleagues to help diversify networks. Members of each triangle will help to bring positivity, growth, and empowerment to those around them.
- Groups will be formed and communicated to all participating members by late August.
- Triangle members will be responsible for communicating with one another by September 8 to share goal sheets and have initial “getting to know you” conversations.
- Communication will be sent from the NFCA periodically to facilitate mentorship conversations.
- There is an expectation for confidentiality amongst your mentorship triangle, with an exception for health and safety, that items discussed by the mentorship group should remain in the mentorship group.
- All members of the triangle must be committed to the time demands that have been outlined. A failure to contribute to the triangle may result in your removal from the program.
Quick Out of the Box
Members Only / Collegiate Coaches
Quick Out of the Box, a curriculum for new head coaches (or in first five years), is designed to connect collegiate head coaches in a small group setting.
This isn't your typical, textbook mentoring program. It’s an elite network that connects first-time head coaches with battle-tested veterans who have already navigated the real-world fires of the job. Plus, it puts them in a room with a tight-knit peer group facing the exact same daily grind.
