Director of Innovation

Following a nine-year collegiate coaching career, Lyndsey Talbot joined the NFCA as Director of Innovation on August 22, 2022.

In this newly-designed role, Talbot, who previously was the head coach at State Fair Community College, is directly involved in NFCA Camps, coaching education and sponsorships, along with serving as the liaison for Emeriti and NJCAA coaches.

During her tenure at SFCC, Talbot was a recipient of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame’s Diamond 9 Award, recognizing her for contributions in the sport of softball in the state of Missouri. Talbot’s teams earned three consecutive NJCAA Academic Team awards, commemorating the highest respective team GPA, while numerous players captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. Under her guidance, multiple student-athletes were named to the NJCAA and NFCA All-Region teams. 

The Jefferson, Mo. native was a four-year standout with the Central Methodist softball program. She helped the Eagles to two Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) titles and was inducted along with her 2008 teammates into the CMU Hairston Hall of Fame. She returned to her alma mater to serve as an assistant coach, where she was part of a coaching staff that reached the NAIA World Series in 2015 for the first time in program history. 

Additionally, the Eagles captured four Heart championships and earned three berths to the NAIA National Tournament. Talbot was part of three NFCA NAIA Regional Coaching Staffs of the Year and two more teams in the Hairston Hall of Fame.

Talbot received her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from CMU in 2011 and a master’s in Exercise Science from Oklahoma State University in 2013. She also completed a master’s in Athletic Administration from CMU in 2020.
