LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced 102 student-athletes representing 41 programs received 2018 NFCA NJCAA DI All-Region accolades.
These awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s three regions with first- and second-team recognitions. NFCA member coaches from each region voted on the teams, and all honorees are now eligible for the 2018 NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American squads.
Butler Community College (West), College of Southern Idaho (West) and Wabash Valley College (Midwest) each had five selections. Seven programs- Chipola College (South), Clarendon College (West), College of Central Florida (South), Eastern Arizona College (West), Florida SouthWestern State College (South) and Tyler Junior College (Midwest)- collected four accolades apiece.
Chipola, Central Florida, Florida SouthWestern and Butler topped the charts with four first-team honors, while 2018 national champion Temple College (Midwest) led a group of four schools with three first-team honorees. Joining the Leopards was Southern Idaho, Tyler and College of Central Florida (South).
The 2018 NFCA NJCAA DI All-American teams will be announced on June 6, via NFCA.org
