WISE CABINET AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT NFCA MEMBERS

Need a mentor? Have something you need to discuss? Did you know you could reach out to the NFCA's WISE Cabinet? The idea came out of the Emeriti meeting at a recent NFCA Convention, and the group is comprised of a select number of NFCA Emeriti members. The WISE Cabinet’s purpose is to preserve and promote the culture of integrity, respect, collegiality, and sportsmanship in softball as well as to provide individualized services to members.

HALL OF FAMER MILLER REMEMBERED FONDLY

NFCA Hall of Famer Liz Miller was remembered fondly by players and colleagues alike in the days following her Dec. 5 passing at age 78. Miller, a legendary coach at the University of Notre Dame and Lake Michigan College, was a trailblazer for women’s sports, which earned her induction into the Hall of Fames at both Bronson High School (2012), where she starred in intramural sports pre-Title IX, and Western Michigan University (1994), where she played field hockey and volleyball.

BROADCAST SCHEDULE REVEALED FOR DI LEADOFF

Highlighted by five contests on MLB Network, the NFCA, in partnership with GameChanger, revealed its broadcast and streaming schedule for the 2026 NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic presented by MaxBP, Feb. 5-8 at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla. Softball fans from around the world will be able to watch every pitch for free during this 18-team tournament which kicks off the 2026 Division I softball season.


NFCA Convention continues to reach new heights

The “Greatest Softball Show on Earth” once again lived up to the hype, with record-breaking Convention attendance in Las Vegas, which this year also included the biggest Exhibit Show in Association history.

JESSI WARREN ANNOUNCED RETIREMENT FROM USA SOFTBALL

U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) infielder, Jessi Warren, has announced her retirement from USA Softball and the international game. Warren’s impact extends beyond Team USA as she recently completed the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) season with the Volts and has been part of Athletes Unlimited since 2020. She previously competed professionally in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league with the USSSA Pride. Warren is set to continue her AUSL career with the OKC Spark for the upcoming 2026 season.
