The Pasadena City Lancers make their first appearance in the latest California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) state rankings.

The Lancers make their debut at No. 15 after a win over No. 17 El Camino. Pasadena City, ranked No. 8 in the South, also has wins over Orange Coast (RV), Long Beach City (RV), and another win over El Camino. Cosumnes River joined the top 10 at No. 9. Ventura, Canyons, West Valley, and Fresno City each moved up a spot.

Emily Rush and Eliza Deatherage have been tabbed the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Players of the Week.

Cypress' Rush picks up Pitcher of the Week honors after posting a 4-0 record in six appearances with two saves for the No. 4 Chargers. Rush was dominant in the circle allowing just three earned runs for an ERA of 0.78 across 27 innings of work. She started four games, winning all of them, tallied three complete games, and 11 strikeouts.

She also had an impressive week at the plate, leading her squad to a perfect 6-0 week. Rush totaled five hits, five runs, one home run, two doubles, four RBIs, and six walks.

Rush ranks third in the state in both wins (10) and shutouts (3) and ranks seventh with eight complete games. Cypress has won 12 straight games.

Deatherage becomes the first person this season to pick up 3CFCA Player of the Week honors for a second time after leading No. 7 Sacramento City to a 3-1 week. The shortstop was unstoppable at the plate finishing with a 0.846 batting average off 11-13 hitting with a pair of walks. She drove in eight runs with three home runs, one triple, one double, and scored seven times.

Against Delta, she hit a two-run walk-off home run to give the Panthers a 9-1 five-inning win. She made an impact in each game, accounting for at least one hit, run, and RBI in each outing. Deatherage leads the state with nine home runs, 29 RBIs, and 78 total bases. She ranks second with 38 hits and a .567 batting average, fourth in runs (27), and sixth in triples (4).
