ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Forty-five student athletes have been named to the 2004 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-America teams, as announced Wednesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The three teams were selected by NCAA Division II head coaches representing each region.

All eight of the teams that will compete for the 2004 national championship are represented with top-ranked Kennesaw State leading the way with four selections. The Owls placed three players on the first team All-America squad — catcher Cambria McKay, first baseman Keri McKee and outfielder Amy Middleton. Pitcher Lisa Macki was named to the third team.

Shippensburg has three players named All-Americans, led by pitcher Kelley Tiesi, who was honored as the top player in Division II softball. The Raiders also had a pair of third-team honorees in outfielder Jaime Dacey and designated player Brenna Eck.

Florida Southern had two honorees in pitcher Megan Brown and outfielder Sarah Kohlbrenner. Brown was a first team selection in the at-large category while Kohlbrenner was a second team selection in the outfield.
