COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Wednesday marks the beginning of the 2013 NJCAA Softball National Championships with the start of the Division I tournament in St. George, Utah, and the Division II tournament in Clinton, Miss. The Division III championship begins Thursday in Rochester, Minn.
This year, the NJCAA will bring schools, fans and media closer to the action than ever before through a social media campaign and live broadcasts through NJCAA TV, powered by iHigh.com.
NJCAA TV will once again feature live audio and video broadcasts of the DI and DII championships. The first 26 games of each tournament will present audio only. Video broadcasts will begin with Game 27 and continue throughout the championships with the exception of Game 28 for both tournaments, which will be audio only.
As the NJCAA continues to integrate social media into the national championships, this year's softball tournaments will allow schools, teams, fans and media to connect through Facebook and Twitter. The official Twitter hashtag for all three tournaments is #SBChamp. This hashtag will create a one stop forum that will allow social media users to find all the tweets pertaining to the NJCAA softball championships. The NJCAA will also provide updates through the official twitter account, @njcaa. As photos from the tournament become available, they will be posted on the NJCAA Facebook Page.
