NFCA/MaxPreps HS POTWSTARKVILLE, Miss. – Seniors Sharon Estrada of Cajon High School in San Bernardino, Calif. and Kiersten Tinkoff of Barrington High School in Barrington, Ill., junior Paige Mcduffee of The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas, and sophomore Danielle Shadley of Golden Gate High School in Naples, Fla. have all been named as the High School Players of the Week for their respective regions by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for games played through March 21, 2011.

Tinkoff is the first player to win top regional honors this season as teams in the North Region got under way last week. The senior infielder led the Fillies to a perfect 3-0 to start their 2011 campaign. The cleanup hitter was 6-9 on the week with two doubles, three runs, three RBI, .727 OBP, and an .889 slugging percentage. Defensively Tinkoff was sharp as well as she also turned an unassisted double play.

Representing the West Region, Estrada smashed five home runs during the Diamond Valley tournament and was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts. The senior hit and impressive .916 overall on the week, going perfect at the plate in 3 out of 4 contests. Her 7 run 15 RBI offensive effort led the Cowboys to a perfect 4-0 record on the week. On the mound senior has held opponents to a .282 average and owns a 5-2 record.

South Central Region honoree, Mcduffee went 4-0 in the circle last week, to help the 23-0 Highlanders take over the top spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 High School poll. The lefty junior has dominated hitters so far this season holding teams to a .113 average with 107 strikeouts with only 12 walks in 82 innings pitched. So far this season she owns a .68 ERA and has yielded only two extra base hits.

From the South Region, Shadley played in all 4 of the Titan's games last week. Offensively she was 11-13 with two doubles, two triples, a HR and 5 RBI. On base Shadley was equally dangerous as she swiped 17 bases. On the season the sophomore is hitting an impressive .736 and leads her team with 23 RBI. In the circle against Immokalee Shadley threw a 2 hitter with with 4 strikeouts to get the win. The victory brings her record to 5 - 0 with a .62 ERA.
