
Representing the West Region, Freeman offensively leads the eighth-ranked Monarchs hitting a lofty .722 this season. This past week the senior slugger hit an impressive .923 going perfect at the plate in 4 out of 5 games. In a big 10-3 win over Mission Viejo, Freeman was 4-4 with a double, 2 HR and 8 RBI. Totals from her banner week at the plate include 3 doubles, 7 HR and 19 RBI.
South Central Region honoree, Hammet leads the Wolves this season hitting .484. The speedy center fielder has also been perfect on the basepaths with 15 swipes in as many attempts. This past week she hit .667, helping her team to a perfect 4-0 record. Her performance was highlighted by a 4-4 showing at the plate in a win over Littlefield.
From the South Region, Brandt pitched her team to two complete game victories on the week. In a 9-0 shutout win over Mitchell, she was nearly perfect in the circle as she struck out 16 of the 23 batters she faced. For the season, the senior is hitting .536 and owns a .21 ERA, holding opposing teams to a .083 batting average while helping the Pirates to an 8-1-0 record.
