Florida Southern pitcher Megan Brown has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 10-16, the association announced Wednesday.

Brown went 2-0 on the week, picking up a pair of 1-0 victories against Saint Leo to help the Moccasins to a 40-4 overall record.

In the opening game of the doubleheader, the Carrollton, Ga., native hurled her third no-hitter of the season, striking out a season-high 14. She followed that outing with a complete game, three-hit shutout in the second game of the twin bill. She struck out eight in the second game, and she allowed just one ball out of the infield after not allowing one off the dirt in the opening game.

She set up the second game’s winning run as she beat out an infield single in only her fifth at-bat of the season.

The two victories gave Brown her 80th and 81st career wins, tying the school and Sunshine State Conference record.
